What are SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) and STTR (Small Business Technology Transfer) programs.

Federal programs that provide R&D funds for small business in the United States through ten participating federal agencies.  Established in 1982 and 1992 respectively, these programs are excellent opportunities to develop high quality technology based new business, generate employment opportunities and economic prosperity.  Annual resources about $1 Billion and $100 Million respectively.
